Funeral directors service

As well as taking care of the funeral arrangements we can arrange everything  else you need. From flowers and newspaper notices to order-of-service, in-memoriam bookmarks and other mourning stationery. We are happy to arrange specialist funeral vehicles such as Horse-drawn Hearses, flat-bed trucks and motorcycles. Anything you choose, we will aim to provide for you. "Quality without Compromise"

All of our funeral options include conveyance of the deceased (within 15 miles) returning to our Chapel of Rest, the  care of your loved one at our premises, the provision of a motor hearse,  all necessary administration  and completion of statutory documentation, the necessary staff for the funeral which will be conducted by either Funeral Director Peter Hergest or Tony Cavell,  "Quality without Compromise"

We offer some low cost funeral options for those who wish for a minimalistic funeral or where no provision has been left to cover the cost of funeral expenses. With the exception of our non attending funeral option, we will not dictate to you when the funeral can take place, or when you can visit your loved one. We will always use a motor hearse to convey your loved one to the committal location. "Quality without Compromise"

We believe in "Quality without compromise" and all of our traditional funeral options can be embellished to suit individual needs. We do not believe in restricting your choices as we understand that no two families are the same. There may be many influencers when arrangements are made so we offer a variety of quality coffins and additional products. Our Funeral Directors are responsive and will accommodate your needs.

For those that are less traditional and wish to hold an intimate and personal goodbye for 20 people or less, you can choose to use our in-house service room for the funeral service followed by a non attended cremation keeping costs low. We have media facilities allowing you still to personalise the service in a way that suits you without the time constraints of other locations.  There are package option available, please contact us for more information 'Quality without Compromise"

For those that are less traditional and wish to choose something a little different or to make a statement about their loved one, we have a range of alternative coffins available. There are  'eco' coffins like bamboo or wool, or select from a range of beautiful picture coffins or even design one yourself.  There are many other ways to personalise a funeral and pay tribute to the person who has died. The cost of a funeral will depend on the choices you make, for example the quality of coffin or casket, the number of funeral vehicles and of course additional products and services that you select. There are fees that needs to be paid to third-parties (disbursements) for example the burial or cremation fee, a minister or officiant to lead the service and statutory medical certificates for cremation if needed.
